If these parts are missing, the battery cover comes into contact with the frame tube and is therefore at risk of breaking even with a slight impact. Since the covers on the \/6 models and the R 90 S were breaking regularly, these rubber washers were introduced in 1976 for the \/7 series. However, we also highly recommend them to \/6 and R 90 S riders, as the original battery covers are no longer available. For each battery cover on the \/7 models, you\u2019ll need a flat rubber washer (4.5 mm) at the top and the 11 mm-thick rubber washer shown here at the bottom. This is an important part that\u2019s almost always missing.
