This R80 G/S was only delivered to the dealer in 1988. It is probably the last R80 G/S Paris Dakar delivered by BMW.
Some small parts from the GS models built since 1987 (mirrors, ignition coil, footrests) were probably fitted ex works on this G/S; however, these parts could easily be converted to the older versions if desired. About the bike:
It has obviously never been ridden off-road and shows little signs of wear for its age. Everything works as it should. No technical modifications or other changes have been made and the Paris Dakar is therefore in its original condition. This makes it a rare collector’s item with added value and a fun factor, which will probably only rarely be found in this condition.
