About the bike:
This is the 316th R 100 RS to be built. The 100 RS was the first motorcycle with full fairing as standard and tested in the wind tunnel. Due to this fact, the first 100 RSs – including this one – were individually approved with the numbered fairing belonging to the vehicle. No technical or visual modifications were made to the vehicle. The BMW is therefore in its original condition and has the hand-lined wire wheels. Engine, matching-numbered frame and matching-numbered fairing. Original paintwork, with minor to normal signs of use. The 51 kW engine from the first series with heavy flywheel mass is a real pleasure to ride. The machine has always been well maintained; the history is completely traceable.
