Original Paris Dakar ex works – confirmation from BMW available. Original engine; production data of frame and engine match. The paintwork is the first and original, even the first stickers are still present. No reproduction parts have been fitted. This R 80 G/S Paris Dakar was produced in March 1987 and registered in March. It has 6 previous owners (apart from us). First letter, so the history is completely traceable. It has always been in its original condition, no additional modifications are noted in the registration document. It is of course accident-free. All locks are keyed alike, on-board tools are available. Apparently nothing has been changed on the Dakar, only the ignition coil has been replaced with the better one from the Paralever models and a steel flex brake line with ABE has been installed for safety reasons. We can replace both with original parts from the period on request. A Paris Dakar in its original, untouched condition and in its original paint finish is almost impossible to find and is also a good investment from a conservation point of view.
