4.5 mm thick rubber cushion for the battery cover on many BMW models. If these parts are missing, the battery cover rests directly against the frame tube and is therefore at risk of breaking even with a slight impact. Since the covers on the /6 models and the 90S regularly broke, these rubber washers were introduced in 1976 for the /7 series. However, we also highly recommend them to /6 and R 90 S riders, as these covers are also prone to breaking and the original battery covers are no longer available. For each battery cover on the /7 models, you’ll need the flat rubber washer (4.5 mm) shown here at the top and a thick rubber washer (11 mm) at the bottom.
