We work with a company that specializes in high-precision surface coating. After the part has been cleaned and sandblasted, they apply an extremely heat-resistant ceramic coating. We’ve already had quite a few parts coated and were absolutely impressed by both the appearance and durability. Even the exhaust manifolds of a G/S that’s seen heavy off-road use have survived mud and the sudden cooling of the hot manifolds when crossing water without any damage. On top of that, the ceramic-coated parts look absolutely fantastic.

The advantages:

• Resistant to solvents, fuels, and oils
• Excellent protection against abrasion and scratches.

Due to the thin coating thickness, the fit of components is preserved. This means, for example, that threads do not need to be masked off. Rust marks and deep scratches are not concealed or covered up. The smoother the surface, the better the result.
