Prototype tank – original BMW for the R 80 G/S. Absolute rarity, probably unique. It is a tank that was supplied to a supplier to adapt various assemblies during the test and development stage of the G/S. In terms of shape, it almost corresponds to the series. As the project was still secret at the time, the tank was produced WITHOUT the recesses for the BMW emblems in order to avoid drawing conclusions about the model and the brand. And no – they are not filled in, but simply not there! The tank has the original coating on the inside and is merely primed on the outside. The shape of the stickers is also slightly different. It has some storage marks and dents and was obviously never filled with gasoline. The provenance of the tank is known to us, as is the supplier to BMW at the time. This means that the history is absolutely traceable. A unique piece of G/S history! We still have numerous similar and other used parts in stock, including some tanks.
